Cosponsored by CDC and the American Evaluation Association (AEA), the institute welcomes all CDC, state, local, and community staff who commission or perform program evaluations or use evaluation results. AEA manages logistics for the institute. Capacity has been expanded to 500 participants, but availability is still limited.   This year’s institute features 3 days of intensive sessions, which include the following: 

-  half-day skill building session

-  two days of interactive group sessioins with nationally known evaluation specialists

-  plenary keynote sessions with specialists on evaluation problems and concerns–like Michael Patton!

-  sessions for all levels of expertise (selected sessions designated for intermediate-level skills)

Visit http://www.eval.org/SummerInstitute09/default.asp for information on institute sessions, presenters, and registration instructions.  Registration is $395 for CDC staff and contractors and for AEA members, $250 for full-time students, and $435 for all others.  TWO special pre-conference trainings “Introduction to Evaluation” and “Quantitative Methods for Evaluators“, are available on Sunday June 14, 9:00-4:00 for an additional fee of $150.  Cancellations or substitutions are subject to a $50 processing fee and must be made by June 1. Enrollment in sessions is limited and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Course selection is not guaranteed until payment is received.
